Years of Great Expectations are Ahead
The 17th in a row Power & Energy Masters Conference has shown the direction in which Croatian energy and power sector will move in the coming years. There are great expectations, as well as interesting ideas and projects.
This year's Conference provided insight into the current state of Croatian energy and power industry, as well as its geopolitical environment. Despite everything, the news are good and there are certainly opportunities for further growth and development when it comes to new business opportunities for Croatian companies, to development and research, or to new wind and solar power projects. Nuclear energy is increasingly being talked about, but experts still expect words to be translated into action. The same is true for hydrogen, which is still mostly hype, although there is no shortage of interesting ideas. On the other hand, ensuring the supply of electricity to data centers is increasingly coming to the forefront of energy and power discussions, as well as the issues of cooling them and utilizing waste heat from them. In all of this, energy efficiency must not be ignored, which must be a priority in Europe, nor the fact that environmental protection primarily protects humanity and civilization.
